| Objeetive:vertebro-basilar insufficiency(VBI)which is often occurred in the elder is a common ischemic cerebrovascular disease.It's clinical characteristics are as follows:recurrent attacks,difficult to recover,and easy to cause acute cerebrovascular diseases.Compared with the Chinese medicine,The medicine has better therapeatic effect in relieving the VBI patients' vertigo quickly,but the chinese medicine has distinct ascendancy to decrease times of the VBI patients' vertigo occurrence,improve various kinds of paracmastic non-specificity Symptoms,cut down blood viscosity of the whole human blood,and to improve the patients' quality of life.Jia Wei Sheng Yu Tang whose compatibility is perfect has the effection of toni-fying middle-jiao and qi,Replenish vital essence and blood,activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis,and etc.The clinical use of jia wei shengyu tang plays a good role in treating the VBI patients with deficiency of qi and blood and Blood Stasis Syndrome.This research is to study the clinical effects and mechanism about blood flow rate and blood viscosity of 'JiaWeiShengYuTang'for vertebrobasilar insuffieiency with TCM syndrome of Qi and Xue Defieiency and Blood stasis.Methods:72 cases of vertebrobasilar insuffieiency with TCM syndrome of Qi and Xue Defieiency and Blood stasis were randomly divided into two groups: the treatment group and the control group,the patients of the two groups were both treated for 15 days.The number of the patients of the healing group is 37.they were treated with JiaWeiShengYuTang eeoction one dose each day which were boiled twice for three hundred milliliter and were divided for two oral use,morning and evening.The other 35 patients were divided into the control group treated each day with aspirin enteric-coated tablets for one hundred mildigram at morning and flunarizine hydrochloride capsules for five mildigram before sleep.In the treatment period both the two groups didn't use other antiplatelet aggregation praeparatum,expansive blood vessel drug,decoagulant,and etc.The ones who were also with diabetes,or hypertension,or both the two were given corresponding treatment.Those who were attacked with drug hypersensitivity,cerebral infarction,cerebral hemorrhage,cerebral edema were demanded to withdraw the research and to accept correlative theraphy.After the treatment the datas were analyzed for statistics.The differences of the datas about all the patients before and after the treatment,for example,major clinic syndrome,Karnofsky Performance Scale scores,and vertebro-basilar blood flow rate and blood viscosity were all observed and studied.Results:The total effective rate of treatment group was obviously higher than that in control group(p＜0.01);Karnofsky Performance Scale were improved after the treatment in both groups,but in control group scale is improved hardly,the difference between the two groups was remarkable(p＜0.05); Veloeitymean(Vm)and Blood viscosity were improved after the treatment in both groups,but in control group scale is improved hardly,the difference between the two groups was remarkable(p＜0.05).The Preseription of JiaWeiShengYuTang can obviously improve the clinieal symptoms.The Preternatural Vmof VA andBA was recovered after adnlinistration of JiaWeiShengYuTang.The higher Blood viscosity of patient was depressed.Conclusions:Jie Wei Sheng Yu Tang can dilate vertebrobasilar artery, increase blood flow,improve microcirculation and improve cerebral blood flow, as well as reduce blood viscosity,prevent aggregation of platelets,free radical scavenging,inhibit the release of endothelin and Nitric Oxide,resist blood and oxygen deficit,protect brain tissue.It can obviously improve clinical symptoms and improve the life quality of patients,and use the security to be nonpoisonous clinically,worthing to be use widely further.
