Effect Of Nanometer Nalcium Combined With Tonifying Kidney Herbs On The Bone And Muscle Of The Hip Joint In The Osteoporosis Rats

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of nanometer calcium combined with tonifying kidney herbs on the bone and musle of the hip joint in the hydrocortisone-induced osteoporosis rats.MethodHydrocortisone 15 mg/kg were injected every other day for 8 weeks time to establish the osteoporosis model of rats.Nanometer calcium combined with tonifying kidney herbs were gavaged once daily for 8 weeks,then we detected BMD,bone strength,bone morphometry,protein expression of PPARγ2 by western-blot,the constitute proportion and area of muscle fiber by succinodehydrogenase staining method.Results(1) Nanometer calcium combined with tonifying kidney herbs group comparing with the model group,the BMD significantly increased;(2) Nanometer calcium combined with tonifying kidney herbs group comparing with the model group,the bone strenghth significantly increased;(3) Nanometer calcium combined with tonifying kidney herbs group comparing with the model group,the index of bone morphometry significantly increased.(4) Nanometer calcium combined with tonifying kidney herbs group comparing with the model group,the protein expression of PPARγ2 significantly decreased.(5) Nanometer calcium combined with tonifying kidney herbs group comparing with the model group,the area of muscle fiber significantly increased and the proportion of muscle fiber typeⅡincreased.ConclusionNanometer calcium combined with tonifying kidney herbs has a effection on improving the the bone and muscle of the hip joint in the hydrocortisone-induced osteoporosis rats.
