1.ObjectsUlcerative colitis(UC))is an unknown inflammatory bowel disease which has the characteristics of longer courses and repeated attack,Therefore UC were treat as one of the difficult disease by World Health Organization.Thus the search for effective,less side effects of the treatment becomes the focus of the study.Chinese medicine has a significant advantage on ulcerative colitis,and has showed a outstanding value of development and broad prospects.The knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine and the research progress of modern medical on UC has been summarized in this paper. It also assess the clinical efficacy of Kui-Jie-LingⅠon UC,discuss the possible mechanisms through clinical research,which going to provide new effective drugs.2.MethodsThe knowledge of traditionaⅠChinese medicine and the research progress of modern medical on UC has been summarized in this paper.It also assess the clinical efficacy of Kui-Jie-LingⅠon UC,discuss the possible mechanisms through clinical research, which going to to provide new effective drugs.2.MethodsKui-jie-lingⅠwas use as the treatment to UC patients.And the evaluation are clinical symptoms,functional indicators,colonic mucosal through colon mirror,feces routine examination.60 cases were selected to attend the research with standards diagnosis.The research is a multicenter,randomized,parallel and controlled study.Patients were randomly divided into Huangqin Tang Group (treatment group) and sulfasalazine(SASP) group(control group). Treatment group were given KuijielingⅠtwice a day for 14 days, sulfasalazine group were givenlg twice a day for 14 days too.3.ResultsIn trial group including 30 cases,the total effective rate is 83.3 percent.In control group there were30 cases,the total effective rate is 66.6 percent.Effective power of the therapeutic group is higher than the controlling group(P<0.05),Histopathological results shows that Kui-jie-lingⅠhave the anti—inflammatory efficacy and can repair and protect the intestinal mucosa..4.ConclusionThis test shows that Kuijielinglcan be the substitutes of UC.
