| BackgroundCoronary heart disease(CHD) is a global chronic disease,In our country, CHD showes an upward trend in the younth with the better living environment and increased working pressure.The treatments include drug therapy, interventional therapy,surgical treatment and changing unhealthy lifestyles. For most patients with CHD,the drug treatment is a long-term or even life-long process.In September 1977,Gruentzig did the first case of PTCA in the world, which started a new era of interventional cardiology.Thereafter,coronary intervention technology develops rapidly and has become an important treatment for CHD.Otherwise,surgical treatment is also an effective way.In traditonal Chinese medicine(TCM),CHD is called Xiong Bi,Zhen Xin Tong, and so on.The earliest record about it is called "Neijing",and the "Jinkui Yaolue",writed by Zbang Zhongjing,has many describes of CHD.The book writes many describes and a system of prescriptions about it,and the treatments receive good effects.So patients with chest pains at that time could be seen as the description of CHD in TCM.There was no good measures for the evaluation of clinical efficacy for TCM,the domestic study on the quality of life of TCM is in a developing stage.At present,many reports have proved that TCM can improve symptoms and the quality of life of CHD patients.But the reports of TCM interventions, especially prospective clinical study,which is strictly accorde with the principles of clinical research design,is not enough.Our study useing the above method is going onby symptoms,cardiac function andOther indicators. ObjectiveBy non-concurrent prospective cohort study,evaluating the CHD treatment experience,"Tiaopi-Huxin",for how it do to reduce the incidence and to improve the clinical symptoms and the quality of life,so as to formate a standardized,clinical operational,easy to be promoted TCM treatment for CHD.MethodTo use prospective cohort study method,setting the out-patients and CHD patients from October 2008 to October 2010 in Guangdong Provincial TCM Hospital as the research object,and to observe the patients for 1 year,(TCM treatment is not less than 3 months),routine treatment is in the entire observation period.Dividing the patients into exposed group(to be routine treatment + TCM) and non-exposed group(to routine therapy) in accordance to the wishes of patients.Collecting the datas on the 30±3 days,60±3 days,90±3 days, 180±3,270±3 days,360±3 days to evaluate the treatments,the results will be entered into the computer for statistical analysis with SPSS 13.0,Stage resultsAt present,the research has not yet been completed,this article is a preliminary observations analyzed before March 31,2009.Up to now,there are 49 cases,38 cases in the exposed group,49 cases complete the 30±3 days treatment and observation.The experimental group is more significant than non-exposed group by quantify clinical symptoms score improvement,the experimental group is more effective(P<0.05).Studies have showed that TiaoPi HuXin has made a good sense.There are a few patients in the exposed group reduced in the follow-up progress because some reasons,and it affected the research process,it will be improved in the next phase.Stage conclusionStage results showed that:Pro.Deng Tietao experience of CHD, "Tiaopi-Huxin" is making a good sense in reducing the incidence of CHD, improving clinical symptoms quality of life,and safety is good.There are some patients in the exposed group reduced in the follow-up progress,and it will be improved in the next phase.Further conclusions will come to us from more clinical trials samples in the next stage.
