Experimental Research For The Mechanism Of Liu-Shen Pill On Tumor Angiogenesis By RAS

Angiogenesis plays crucial role in the development, invasion and metastasis of tumors. This experiment investigated the restraint effect function of Liu-shen-pill and perindopril to s180 transplanted tumor in small rats. And the promote effect function of the angiotensinII to tumor growth was also observed in the experiment. The mechanism of action anti-tumor on the liu-shen-pill was studied with the method of the anti-tumor angiogenesis of Rennin-angiotensin-aldosterone system(RAAS) by using immunohistochemistry. These experiments shows that Liu-shen-pill and perindopril can not only kill the cancer cells directly, but also can repress the expression of MVD,VEGF,b-FGF, AngII and angiotensin II.In the inhibition rate and anti-tumor angiogenesis, the Liushen Pill and Perindopril was no significant difference, but in improving the survival rate and improve the quality of life, the Liushen pill has shown remarkable results. It seems therefore that Liushen pill have a direct role to kill the malignant cells, may also, through the RAS system, anti-tumor angiogenesis approaches realize the perspective of many anti-tumor effects.
