This study can be divided into two parts【PartⅠ】Objective:To investigate the roles of transforming growth factor -alpha(TGF-α)and P63 in pathogenesis of Condyloma acuminatum(CA).Methods: Polymerase Chain Reaction(PCR)used to detect the infection of HPV 6/11 type in 34 male cases with CA;Immunohistochemical(streptavidin/peroxidase SP) method tested the expressions of TGF-αand p63 both in CA lesions with HPV 6/11 type and in normal prepuce of 15 cases. Results:There were 26 positive specimens with HPV 6/11 type in 34 lesions, the detection rate was 76.47%(26/34);The positive rates of both TGF-αand p63 were 92.31%(24/26).There were statistical differences in the detections of both TGF-αand P63 between in CA and in normal prepuce(P<0.05);Spearman related analysis between TGF-αand p63 was correlation,(correlation coefficient r_s=0.556,P=0.003<0.05).Conclusions:The infection of HPV 6/11 type accounts for majority in CA;And TGF-αand p63 play certain roles in the development of CA.【PartⅡ】Objective:To approach the roles of TGF-αand p63 in pathogenesis of Penile carcinoma(PC).Methods:PCR used to detect the infection of HPV in 26 cases with PC;Immunohistochemitry(SP) tested the expressions of TGF-αand p63 both in PC with HPV infections and in normal prepuce of 15 cases. Results:There were 20 positive specimens with HPV infections in 26 lesions, the detection rate was 76.92%(20/26);The positive rates of both TGF-αand p63 were 90%(18/20) and 95%(19/20) respectively. There were statistical differences in the expressions of both TGF-αand p63 between in PC and in normal prepuce(P<0.05);Spearman related analysis between TGF-αand p63 was correlation,(correlation coefficient r_s=0.467,P=0.038<0.05).Conclusions:The infection of HPV accounts for majority in PC;And TGF-αand p63 play certain roles in the development of PC.
