Glycyrrhiza inflata is Chinese herbal medicine. However,the development of ground resources were always be neglected while the underground part of it were paid more attention comparatively. Major components and the content of Glycyrrhiza inflata's leaf were studied. The anti-prostatitis effect of water extract were studied by rat model. The water extract of Glycyrrhiza inflata's leaf were isolated by macroporous resin method and anti-inflammatory effect were also analyzed,and response surface analysis was used to optimize the technology of Flavonoids extract in Glycyrrhiza inflata's leaf.(1) HPLC,Spectrophotometry and the method of vitriol-phenol were used to analyze the content of glycyrrhizic acid,the flavonoids and total-saccharide. The content is 0.033%,2.84% and 15.93% separately.(2) Rat model of prostatitis was built. And some indicators were detected as parameter to test the validity of the model. The anti-prostatitis effect of water extract of Glycyrrhiza inflata's leaf were authented by rat model.(3) The components and the anti-inflammatory effect of leaf Glycyrrihiza inflata were investigated. By using the method of vitriol-phenol and HPLC,the chemic components were analyzed. The content of the flavonoids and total-saccharide and albumen is 12.21%,2.23% and 0.45%. The anti-inflammatory effect of the leaf of Glycyrrhiza inflata was researched using ear edema induced by xylene and paw edema caused by carrageen. The inhibition rate of edema of water extract and the 50% parts separated from it were higher than that of the control group and the content of PGE2 was drop. The leaf of Glycyrrhiza inflata can antagonize the reaction of inflammation and has a great utilize foreground.(4) Aiming at the extraction of Total Flavonoids from Glycyrrhiza Leaves,extract firstly by homogenate extraction which is a kind of efficient and rapid method,at the same time,experiment factors and levels were firstly selected by one-factor tests. Next,on the basis of this and according to the Box-Benhnken center-united experimental design principles,the method of response surface analysis with 3 factors and 3 levels was adopted. The factors influencing the technological parameters were determined by means of regression analysis. Response surface and contour were graphed with the extraction yield of Total Flavonoids as the response value. The results showed that the optimum conditions of Total Flavonoids extraction were 40-fold ethanol (70%v/v), extracting for 5 min,and thatthe extraction rate of Total Flavonoids was up to 2.91%.
