ObjectiveTo prove the hypothesis which indicates pulses change is related to BBT change exist. We have chosen 22 college girls whose both hands'pulse signal is tested, and their BBT are recorded each day. The relations between have been discussed, and it will lead to further researches of pulse taking and might be valuable to Gynecological Endocrinology clinical.MethodZM-â…¢c pulse testing machine is used. Operating standard and the testing spot on hands are strictly made and proved. Tested group is chosen from Guangzhou TCM university 05grade girls, these 22 girls are screened by basal body temperature analysis.Testing date is from 2008-10-21 to 2008-12-20, under the regular living style and testing time each day. Valuable resources from testing each day (one hand) are:6 pulse taking pressures,6 pulse rebounding pressures,1 best beat point. Innovated measuring methods:estimate pulse wide, estimate pulse blood volume, the way to compare different people's results. After 2 months, we gathered and screened BBT forms to recognize each follicular phase and luteal phase, which was to divide the time phases of pulses data pool. SPSS13.0 software package is used. When proving pulse taking pressures are representing each of 6 pulse level, we use one sample T-test. When comparing between both hands' data, we use paired sample T-test.Result6 case is tailed out:1 of less compliance,3 of their missing data,1 of her unrecognizable BBT form,1 with anatomical difference. Totally we have 16 useful cases. After comparing data(including estimated pulse volume, pulse level, tense degree) of both hands which is divided by BBT phases with paired sample T test, results are recorded and made into figures. Results:Within 16 cases, there are 27 menstrual periods, and 11 periods (40.7%) have the signally left pulse change phenomenon; Pulse in luteal phase always shows that R(right hand pulse)>L(left hand pulse) (61.7%); In follicular phase, L>R(>50%); Estimated blood volume is not always decline during the menstrual periods.ConclusionPartly support hypothesis, has proved the pulse changing phenomenon is exist in menstrual period, but the change of pulses is not significantly related with BBT phases.
