Stellera chamaejasme L., a member of the Stellera in the Thymelaeaceae family, is rarely used as Chinese herbal medicine because of high-toxicity. In recent years, due to the overgrazing, distribution area of Stellera chamaejasme L. in Inner Mongolia greatly extend, especially in the areas it has become dominant species of the degraded grassland, which produced a great negative impact on the grassland ecosystem. In recent years, study found that extractant and embrocation of Stellera chamaejasme L. have significant therapeutic effect on sheep's acariasis. Therefore it can be used as pesticide to replace organophosphorus and pyrethrum type pesticides because of its' low-toxicity, environment friendly and aboundant resources, To find the acaricidal active constituents in Stellera chamaejasme L., the research for the chemical constituents of the Stem and leaves of Stellera chamaejasme L. has been carried outIn present study, In the extracts of the Stem and leaves of Stellera chamaejasme L by 95% ethanol. Four compounds have been isolated and purefied by utilizing column chromatography, preparative TLC and recrystallization techniques. The structures of four compounds have been identified by IR, 1D and 2D NMR (1HNMR,13CNMR, DEPT, HSQC, HMBC and COSY-DQF) data and reference literatures. They are umberlliefrone(1), daphnoretin(2),Daphnin(3), Chamaejaso-side(4). The four Compounds are isolated from the genus for the first time. Sulfurous acid, butyl heptadecyl ester,Dibutyl phthalate and 1,3,5-Benzenetriol were identified from the genus for the first time by GC-MS. Base on summing spectral data of Coumarins of Stellera chamaejasme L.,, we discussed the characteristics of coumarins and provide a reference to identify the structure of Coumarins.
