Objective1. To observe the neck circumference, daytime sleepiness situation and platelet-derived growth factor-BB(PDGF-BB) and von willebiand factor(vWF) levels in OSAHS patients, and investigate the injury and the remodeling of the vascular in OSAHS patients.2. To observe the changes of blood pressure, serum PDGF-BB and plasma vWF levels after nasal-continuous positive airway pressure treatment (CPAP).Methods1. All selected people are detected by PSG and measured the blood pressure. According AHI and hypertension, all patients are divided into four groups, simple OSAHS group (O group) 30 samples, OSAHS with hypertension group (OH group) 30 samples, simple hypertension group(H group)30 samples and controlled group(N group) 30 samples.2. The PDGF-BB and vWF levels are measured in all people.3. To observe the changes of daytime sleepiness situation, blood pressure, serum PDGF-BB and plasma vWF in 25 OSAHS with hypertension patients after 1 week nasal-continuous positive airway pressure(CPAP) treatment.Results1. The neck circumference and Epworth scores in OSAHS group are different with controlled group(all P<0.01).2. Serum PDGF-BB and plasma vWF are both positively related with AHI, ODI, Epworth scores, neck circumference, MSBP, MDBP(all P<0.01);and negatively with LSaO2 and MSaO2(all P<0.01).3. The Epworth scores and plasma vWF levels are decreased in OSAHS with hypertension group after CPAP treatment(all P<0.05).The serum PDGF-BB and blood pressure are tending to decline, but there is not statistically significant (all P>0.05).4. By stepwise multiple linear regression analysis showed that AHI is the risk factor for PDGF-BB and vWF, blood pressure are affected by PDGF-BB and vWF(all P<0.01).Conclusion1. The neck circumference and Epworth scores partly show the severity of the OSAHS.2. The levels of PDGF-BB and vWF in OSHAS group are higher than the levels in controlled group, especially higher in OSAHS with hypertension group. It shows that OSAHS patients might exist the injury and remodeling of the vessels and the injury, and the remodeling of the vessels in OSHAS and hypertension are especially serious.3. The CPAP treatment can decrease the Epworth scores, the level of vWF. The level of PDGF-BB are tending to decline, It shows that CPAP might improve the vessels functions and reduce the vascular remodeling.
