Objective: To study the relativity between human telomerase reverse transcrip tase(hTERT) in peripheral venous blood from patients and bladder urothelial carcinoma muscle layer infiltration and prognosis evaluation. Methods: Patients were gathering 3ml peripheral venous blood.Through RNA extraction, reverse transcription and fluorescence quantitative PCR, we test the hTERT in 46 patients with bladder urothelial carcinoma of different Histologic classificationS,different Clinical stages, and different recurrence and progression score, test these hTERT values using single factor analysis of variance with SPSS13.0 software. Results: The hTERT in muscularis-invasive bladder urothelial carcinoma is higher than in non muscularis-invasive one(P<0.05).No significantly statistical difference was found between the hTERT of different histologic grading(P >0.05). The higher of recurrence score of non muscularis-invasive bladder urothelial carcinoma , the higher hTERT.But there is no significantly statistical difference(P >0.05). The hTERT in non muscularis-invasive bladder urothelial carcinoma of higher progression score is higher than one of lower progression score(P <0.05).Conclusion: The hTERT mRNA can be used as the molecular mark to test micro transfer of patients with bladder cancer. The hTERT can provide the basis to surgical treatment for bladder urothelial carcinoma, and provide the futher basis to estimating prognosis.
