【Objective】1. To explore the expression of Ezrin,CD44V6 and E-cad protein in colorectal adenocarcinoma and explore its clinicopathologic effects.2. To explore the roles of Ezrin,CD44V6 and E-cad in the development of colorectal adenocarcinoma.【Methods】Immunohistochemical S-P staining was used to detect the expression of Ezrin,CD44V6 and E-cad in 70 cases of colorectal adenocarcinoma, 20 cases of colorectal adenoma and 10 cases of normal colorectal mucosa. And we analyzed the relationship between these factors and clinicopathologic characteristics, and the relationship among the three factors.【Results】1.The positive rates of Ezrin was 77.1%,25.0% and 0.0% in colorectal adenocarcinoma,colorectal adenoma,normal colorectal mucosa respectively;The positive rate of CD44V6 was 70.7%,35% and 30% in colorectal adenocarcinoma,colorectal adenoma,normal colorectal mucosa respectively;The positive rate of E-cad was 33%,80.0% and 90% in colorectal adenocarcinoma,colorectal adenoma,normal colorectal mucosa respectively;The difference of positive rates of Ezrin among three groups was significant(P<0.05,P<0.01,P<0.05);The difference of positive rates of CD44V6 was significant between colorectal adenocarcinoma and colorectal adenoma,between colorectal adenocarcinoma and normal colorectal mucosa (P<0.05,P<0.01). The difference of positive rates of E-cad was significant between colorectal adenocarcinoma and colorectal adenoma, between colorectal adenocarcinoma and normal colorectal mucosa (P<0.05,P<0.05). 2.Spearman correlation showed that there was significant positive correlation between Ezrin and CD44V6(P <0.05). And there was significant negative correlation between Ezrin and E-cad,between CD44V6 and E-cad (P<0.05).3.The positive expression of Ezrin in 70 cases of colorectal adenocarcinoma was significantly correlated with the degree of differentiation (P<0.05), but not associated with sex,age,tumourous size, the depth of infiltration, the lymph node metastasis and TNM staging (P>0.05). There was longer survival time in Ezrin negative cases than in positive cases(P<0.05).4.The positive expression rate of CD44V6 was significantly correlated with the lymph node metastasis (P<0.05), but not associated with sex, age, tumourous size, the depth of infiltration, the degree of differentiation and TNM staging (P>0.05).5.The positive rate of E-cad was not associated with sex, age, tumourous size, the depth of infiltration, the degree of differentiation ,the lymph node metastasis and TNM staging (P>0.05).【Conclusions】There is high positive expression of Ezrin and CD44V6, and low positive expression of E-cad suggests that these factors are concerned with the development and progression of colorectal adenocarcinoma. A significance positive correlation between Ezrin and CD44V6 suggests that Ezrin may induce the expression of CD44V6 to promote the development and progression of colorectal adenocarcinoma. A significance negative correlation between Ezrin and E-cad, between CD44V6 and E-cad suggests that the former may down-regulate the expression of the latter to promote the development and progression of colorectal tumor. Ezrin and CD44V6 are associated with some clinical pathologic characters of colorectal adenocarcinoma. Ezrin is related to survival time, hence it may be contributed to prognostic judgment.
