Clinical Research On Medical Nutrition Treatment About Diet Control And Health Education For Diabetes Patients

ObjectivesLet the diabetes patients know well about their diet control plan and requirements after being educated health education. To objectively the effect of diet control and health education, and hope to find a better means of Medical Nutrition Treatmen(MNT). Probe into the effect and significance about diet with Triditional Chinese Medicine.MethodsBy adopting prospective random control test, we take 60 patients of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) from in hospital and out-patient department of internal secretion as the object of study. Use questionnaires to obtain the knowledge about DM,the diet habit of these patients, and then assess the patient's nutriton, make out an individualized diet menu which including Medicated diet and Dietotherapy, demand the patient to carry on; also educate them the notice about DM diet control by oral and in written form. Measure and mark down the body index of height,weight,waistline, the index of fasting blood-glucose,2-hr postprandial glucose,HbAlc,TG and so on.Follow up the patients in week 1th,2th,3th,4th,8th,12th, measure and mark down the index of height,weight,waistline,fasting blood-glucose,2-hr postprandial glucose, measure the HbAlc and TG in week 12th.In the week 12th do another questionnaire with the patients. Use the statistics method to analyze.Result1. Diet control is good to control the blood sugar.2. Medicated diet and Dietotherapy can assist to control the blood sugar. 3. Lots of DM patients are also overweight or obesity, it's necessary to control the bodyweight, cause it can be aggravate the insulin resistance.4. Health education is helpping to increase the patient's compliance in diet control. We should use some other way to educate the patients about all the diet knowledge.ConclusionDiet control has an important and positive effect in the treatment of DM, it has effect in glucose-lowering. While the Medicated diet and Dietotherapy which follow by TCM syndrome differentiation is also has effect in glucose-lowering. We should pay attention to those patients who are overweight or obesity, because overweight and obesity can aggravate the insulin resistance, result in blood sugar rise. The health education is useful and helpful to catch the patients'attention to the DM diet control, and we should use some more way to educate DM patients diet knowledge as more as possible. Finally, the doctor of nutrition should playing a role in the treatment team, formulate a individual diet control plan to patient.
