Objective:Analysis frequencies and characteristics of. "blood stasis" symptoms in patients with primary glaucoma. Probe into the relation between primary glaucoma and " blood stasis ",To provide a basis for clinical application of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis in treating glaucoma. Methods:There were 240 patients (453 eyes) of the primary glaucoma which were collected from Chengdu University of TCM affiliated hospital Ophthalmology department during December,2007 to December,2010. Carrying on the review analysis for its type, sex, age, disease duration, the eye and whole body " blood stasis" symptoms, the whole blood viscosity and so on. And summarizing the primary glaucoma "blood stasis" symptom characteristics and frequencies.Results:①Age distribution of patients concentrates in 61-70 year old(101 cases, percent of the total number of cases 42.08%), in which acute angle-closure glaucoma 28 cases, accounting for 27.72%; chronic angle-closure glaucoma 45 cases, accounting for 44.55%; open-angle glaucoma 28 cases, accounting for 27.72%.②The acute angle-closure glaucoma disease duration is short, the chronic angle-cloure and open angle disease duration are long.③The frequency distribution between different types primary glaucoma and age, disease duration statistics result showed that, the age frequency of AACG assumes the negative skewness distribution, but CACG and POAG assume the normal distribution, the disease duration frequency of AACG, CACG and POAG assume skewness distribution.④The common eye "blood stasis" Symptoms:Conjunctival vasodilatation, tortuosity of retinal vein/artery thin and the disc pale. Among them, conjunctival vasodilatation 202 cases, accounting for 84.17%; tortuosity of retinal vein/artery thin 201 cases, accounting for 83.75%; 194 cases of optic disk,80.83%. Accompanying diseases:hypertensive 75 cases, accounting for 31.32%, accounting for diabetes 33 cases,13.75%.The statistical result showed that, the frequencies appeared no significant difference between the different types of primary glaucoma and "Blood stasis" symptoms (P>0.05).⑤The index of "blood stasis" between different types primary glaucoma and the sex, age, disease duration had statistics significance:accompanying retina vein blocking, retina artery blocking, (P<0.05); The index of "blood stasis" between different types primary glaucoma and sex have statistics significance:accompanying retinal vein, artery blocking, hypertension patients (P<0.05); The index of "blood stasis" between different types primary glaucoma and the age have statistics significance:pale optic disc, tortuosity of retinal vein/artery thin, accompanying retinal vein blocking, retinal artery blocking, diabetes (P<0.05); The index of "blood stasis" between different types primary glaucoma and the disease duration have statistics significance:subconjunctival hemorrhage, disc pale, tortuosity of retinal vein/artery thin, accompanying retinal vein blocking, retinal artery blocking, hypertension, diabetes (P<0.05); But conjunctiva vasodilatation and sex, age, disease duration had not obvious statistics significance in different types patients (P>0.05)⑥Most common whole body "blood stasis" symptoms were varicose sublingual veins 199 cases, accounting for 82.92%; pulse string and unsmooth or irregular pulse 163 cases, accounting for 67.92%; Tongue violet dark or with petechiae were 121 cases, accounting for 50.42%. Statistics results show that, pulse string and unsmooth or irregular pulse had statistics significance between different types of primary glaucoma and disease duration (P<0.05), But Tongue violet dark or with petechiae and sex, age, disease duration had not obvious statistics significance in different types patients (P>0.05)⑦Hemorheology examined 52 cases, accounting for 21.67%. The obvious ascendant index had Plasma viscosity and Red blood cell accumulation index, the former 50 cases, accounting for 20.83%, and the latter 49 cases, accounting for 20.42%. Results showed that there had statistics significance between different types of primary glaucoma and rising index of hemorheology (P<0.05).Conclusion:①The relations between the primary glaucoma and "the blood stasis" is close;②The frequency with Primary glaucoma "blood stasis" symptoms followed by conjunctiva vasodilatation, tortuosity of retinal vein/artery thin, disc pale, pulse string and unsmooth or irregular pulse, Tongue violet dark or with petechiae, subconjunctival hemorrhage, accompanying hypertension, diabetes, retinal vein blocking and retinal artery blocking. At the same time, The index of "blood stasis" between different types primary glaucoma and the sex, age, disease duration had statistics significance:accompanying retina vein blocking, retina artery blocking, (P< 0.05), shown as, There is not much difference between male and female in AACG, But the female is more than the male obviously in CACG and the POAG. The age of AACG is mostly on 51-60 years old. While the CACG and POAG on 61-70 years of age is more. Disease duration of AACG mostly below half year, but the CACG and POAG are most during the six months to four yuars. While between conjunctiva vasodilatation, Tongue violet dark or with petechiae and sex, age, disease duration had not obvious statistics significance in different types patients (P>0.05)③Conjunctiva vasodilatation, Tongue violet dark or with petechiae can be used as primary glaucoma "blood stasis" characteristic symptoms.
