Objective:To detect the relevance of the expression of indoleamin 2,3-Dioxygenase (IDO) in peripheral blood of esophageal cancer in Xinjiang kazak, and analysis its relationship to the clinicopathalogy features and the T lymphocyte subsets, and investigate its role in the esophageal cancer of Xinjiang kazak. Methods:Collect 56 cases of kazak esophageal patients before treatment peripheral blood as case group, Normal control group is the 24 cases of peripheral blood of kazak healthy check-up crowd. The expression of IDOmRNA on peripheral blood from 56 esophageal cancer cases and 24 non-cancer peripheral blood were detected by RT-PCR.The correlation between the expression of IDOmRNA and the clinical pathological parameters was analyzed. The T lymphocyte subsets function of two groups were detected by FCM. Results:The expression of IDOmRNA in peripheral blood of esophageal cancer (1.801±0.588) was significantly higher than that in non-cancer(0.145±0.024)×103,(P<0.05);Expression of IDOmRNA in peripheral blood of esophageal cancer was associated with tumor clinical stage and lymph nodes metastasis (P<0.05);The age and sex and site of tumor growth were not related statistically with IDOmRNA in esophageal cancer cases(.P>0.05). IDOmRNA was inversely correlated to CD4+T cells and the ratio of CD4+/CD8+(r=-0.436,-0.407, P<0.05),and IDOmRNA level was positively correlated to CD8+T cells(r=0.399, P<0.05).Conclusion:IDOmRNA are highly expressed in peripheral blood of esophageal cancer in Xinjiang kazakh,The expression level of IDOmRNA was closely related to tumor occurrence and development and lymph nodes metastasis.IDO is responsible for immunotolerance against Hazak's esophageal cancer.Aiming at IDO targrting may provide new ideas to clinical treatment in esophageal cancer.
