Objective To study effects and safety of ultrasound irradiation in blood viscosity in vitro rabbit, providing experimental basis for its clinical application.Method 50ml blood sample from 20 healthy New Zealand rabbits, was divided into five groups randomly, including one control group and four irradiation groups, which were irradiated by 0.87MHz ultrasonic beams under 2W/cm~2×1min,3W/cm~2×1min, 4W/cm~2×1min and 4W/cm~2×3min separately. Then all blood sample of the five groups was analyzed for blood viscosity, cellular morphology observation, blood cell counts ,and ink-phagocytizing of leukocyte. Results Compared to that in the control, the counts of blood corpuscle , cellular morphology observation ,blood viscosity and ink-phagocytizing of leukocyte tests had no significant difference in 2W/cm~2×1min group .Compared to that in the control, the counts of blood corpuscle and cellular morphology observation had no significant difference in 3W/cm~2×1min group, while the counts of platelet decreased significantly and some erythrocyte deformation in the 4W/cm~2×1min group(p<0.05), Compared to that in the control, the value of whole blood apparent viscosityη, erythrocyte aggregation index and rigidity index in 3W/cm~2 group had a significant decrease separately in7.76% , 6.24%,6.58%(p<0.05). The value of blood viscosity decreased more in the 4W/cm~2×1min group than that in the 3W/cm~2×1min group(p<0.05), In the succeeding ink-phagocytizing of leukocyte tests, it demonstrated that no difference between the 3W/ cm~2×1min group and the control, but the rate of leukocyte that phagocytosing ink had a significant decrease. Compared to that in the control, the counts of blood corpuscle and ink-phagocytizing of leukocyte tests had a significant difference in 4W/ cm~2×3min group, but the value of blood viscosity had no significant decrease. Conclusion Ultrasonic irradiation can improve the in-vitro hemorrheology with hemolytic risk, and the study indicated irradiation under 0.87MHZ and 3W/cm~2×1min as an efficient and safe parameter.
