Objective:To study the expression of tumor control gene PTEN and tumor gene C-erbB-2 expression in human breast invasive ductal carcinoma tissue, analyze the relationship between expression PTEN and C-erbB-2, while, the correlations between expressions and clinicopathologics. Method:80 cases of breast invasive ductal carcinoma tissues are selected randomly, which are therapy in our hospital during 1994 to 2004, and its normal clinicopathologic testing, ER and PR, are selected at the same time. Using streptaviin perxidse immunohistochemistry testing the espression of PTEN and C-erbB-2, analyzing the relationship of expression PTEN and C-erbB-2, the age, menopausal estate, the location of tumor, size of tumor, histology classification, clinical stage, the metastasis rate of axillary nodes, the expression of ER, PR, and the relationship of between PTEN,C-erbB-2. Also, contrasted with non-carcinoma tissue of breast. Result:The positive rate of expression PTEN in normal breast tissue are 76.7%(23/30), in breast carcinoma tissue.40.0%(32/80), There is a prominence statistic difference between them(P <0.05). The positive rate of expression PTEN in metastasis of axillary nodes invasive ductal carcinoma tissue are 52.9%(18/34),in without axillary nodes metastasis are 30.4% (14/46). There is a prominence statistic difference between them(P<0.05). The positive rate of expression PTEN in ER lower expression group and ER higher expression group are 26.3%(10/38) and 52.4%(22/42). There is a prominence statistic difference between them (P<0.05).With the histology classification raise, the positive rate of expression PTEN become lower. There is a downtrend,but without statistics signification. The positive rate of expression PTEN are independent of the age, menopausal estate,the location of tumor, size of tumor, histology classification clinical stage, the expression of PR. The positive rate of expression C-erbB-2 in normal breast tissue are 6.7%(2/30), in breast carcinoma tissue 48.8%(39/80), There is a prominence statistic difference between them (P<0.05). The positive rate of expression C-erbB-2 in metastasis of axillary nodes invasive ductal carcinoma tissue are 35.3%(12/34), in without axillary nodes metastasis are 58.7%(27/46). There is a prominence statistic difference between them (P<0.05). The positive rate of expression C-erbB-2 are independent of the age, menopausal estate,the location of tumor, size of tumor, histology classification clinical stage, the expression of PR. The expression rate of C-erbB-2 are 62.5%(30/48) and 28.1%(9/32), while PTEN in a lower or higher expression states. There is a prominence statistic difference between them (P<0.05). Conclusion:The expression of PTEN and C-erbB-2 can be the evidence of invasive, metastasis. Test the PTEN combine C-erbB-2 expression in breast invasive ductal carcinoma tissue have an important value for constitute Rx. and evaluation of prognosis.
