ObjectiveIn order to investigate the clinical value of individual prostate systematic multi-point biopsy.MethodsThese persons who were considered as patients with prostate cancer from October 2009 to March 2010 underwent needle combination that were decided by the Individual Prostate Biopsy Nomogram. Retrospectively analyze the clinical data of these patients who had undergone 6-core prostate biopsy from May 2009 to October 2009. The purpose is to compare the first detection rates and the incidence of complications in both groups.ResultsIndividual systemic biopsies of all patients were succeed. There pathology results were 17 cases of prostate cancer. The positive rate was 48.57%. No serious complications happened. The positive rate of these patients who had nodules found during transrectal color doppler ultrasound was 50%, the sensitivity was 76.47%, and the specificity was 38.46%. The PSA levels of the prostate cancer patients were significantly higher than the non-cancer patients(P= 0.000). The positive rate of the first positive biopsy in Individual Prostate Biopsy Nomogram group was 48.57%. On the contrary, The positive rate of the first positive biopsy in 6-core group was 26.32%. The difference of the first positive rate was significant between the two groups(x2=4.735, P<0.05).The difference of complications incidence was no significant between the two groups (x2=0.168,P>0.05).Conclusion (1) It is the best to use the individual prostate systemic multi-point biopsy in the first time of prostate puncture. (2) The individual prostate systemic multi-point biopsy for different groups is a safe and efficient mode. It does improve the first detection rate of prostate cancer and avoid the unnecessary increase in the number of puncture needles. (3) The first positive biopsy rate of individual prostate systemic multi-point biopsy mode is higher than traditional 6-core systematic prostate biopsy. Compared with 6-core biopsy regimen, the complication rate of individual prostate systemic multi-point biopsy mode showed no difference.
