Objective: To investigate the distribution of different human papillomavirus (HPV) subtype infection as well as high risk factors in women's cervixes in some areas of Guizhou Province, therefore offer some evidences for the purpose of preventing and treating cervical cancer as fwell as for further developing and using of cervical cancer vaccine in this region. Method:A total of 2339 women having sexual life were checked in 21 HPV genotypes by DNA flow-through hybridization gene chip technique, The subjects were definitely diagnosed by the 3-step diagnostic methods of cervical cancer screening in department of Gynecology and Obstetrics between December 2007 to December 2008, several hospitals were involved in this study as follows:affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical College (745 cases), Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital (769 cases), Qiannan state Hospital (467 cases), and Tongren district hospital (358 cases). Results:1.Total rate of HPV infection was 30.31% (709/2339) in the 2339 women. The top five subtypes of HPV infection were HPV16,52,18,58 and 11 genotype, and the accordence infection rate were 9.87% (231/2339),5.64%(132/2339),4.95%(116/2339),4.19% (98/2339) and 2.99% (70/2339) respectively.2. The top four subtypes of HPV infection were HPV16, 52,18 and 58 genotype in all levels of cervical diseases.3.366 of CIN patients and 181 patients of invasive cervix carcinoma(ICC) were diagnosed through pathologtic examination. The rate of HPV infection in CINⅠ, CINⅡ, CINⅢand ICC were 34.26% (74/216),77.78% (56/72),82.05% (64/78) and 77.9%(141/181) respectively (rs=0.999, P <0.01).4. The peak of HPV infection ranged from age of 31 to 35 and 56 to 60 years old. The earlier the first sexual life, the higher the HPV infection (tendencyχ2 test, P<0.05).5. Among the 181 ICC patients, the rate of HPV infection were 84.52%(131/155) in squamous carcinoma of the cervix (SCC) and 38.46%(10/26) in adenocarcinoma of uterine cervix (AUC). ICC patients were mainly infected by HPV 16,18 genotype in 181 cases. The proportion of HPV16 infection was 61.83% (81/131) in SCC and HPV18 infection was 60% (6/10) in AUC. HPV16 was related closely with SCC (χ2=11.948, P<0.001, ORSCC/AUC=5.946). There was no significant difference were seen about HPV 18 between SCC and AUC (P>0.05). Conclusion:1. The majority infection of HPV subtypes are 16,52,18,58 in some areas of Guizhou province; 2. Close correlationships were observed between HPV infection and cervical diseases, CIN and cervical cancer; 3. HPV infection often occurs in young and middle-aged and postmenopausal women. The earlier age of first sexual is a high factor of HPV infection. Persistent infection of high risk HPV would be a key fector to get cervix cancer; 4. ICC patients were mainly infected by HPV16, 18 genotype. HPV16 infection was related closely with SCC. No significant difference between HPV18 infection in SCC and AUC; 5. HPV16/18 vaccine may be considered in the purpose of 'reducing the incidence of cervical carcer in some areas of Guizhou province.
