| Objective:To investigate the expression of Tiam1,CD44v6,E-cadherin in gastric carcinoma and normal gastric mucosa as well as their correlations in gastric carcinoma, to study their roles in the carcinogenesis, development, invasion and metastasis in gastric carcinoma.Methods:SP immunohistochemical staining was used to examine the the expression of Tiam1, CD44v6, E-cadherin in gastric carcinoma(n=56) and normal gastric mucosa(n=15). The difference of expression level and its relationship with clinicopathological parameters such as sex, age, TNM stage, lymphatic metastasis, differentiated degree,tumor size, invasion depth were observed. The data were processed by nonparametric test and the collelation was analyzed by Spearman test.Results:1 In comparion with those in normal gastric mucosa, the expression of Tiam1, CD44v6 in gastric carcinoma were significantly higher(P<0.05), but the expression of E-cadherin was lower(P<0.01).2 The expressions of Tiam1,CD44v6 and E-cadherin were significant difference with TNM stage, lymphatic metastasis, differentiated degree,tumor size and invasion depth. And there were no significant difference with sex and age.3 The expression level of E-cadherin was negatively correlated with The expression level of Tiam1 and CD44v6(rs=-0.630,P<0.01; rs=-0.575,P<0.01). While the expression level of Tiam1 was positively correlated with that of CD44v6 (rs=0.671,P<0.01).Conclusion:1 Low expression of the E-cadherin and high expression of Tiam1 and CD44v6 may be associated with the carcinogenesis of gastric carcinoma.2 The expressions of Tiam1,CD44v6 and E-cadherin were significant difference with TNM stage, lymphatic metastasis, differentiated degree,tumor size and invasion depth. And there were no significant difference with sex and age.3 The expression level of the Tiam1 and CD44v6 significantly negativly corelates with the expression level of E-cadherin, and there is positive correlation between expression level of Tiam1 and CD44v6 in gastric carcinoma.
