The Expression Of Survivin, S100A6 And Their Correlation In Patients With The Ovary Endometriosis

Objective:To detect the expression of Survivin and S100A6 in ovarian endometriosis (OEms), investigate the correlation between Survivin, S100A6 and apoptosis in endometriosis (Ems).In order to know better the pathogenesy of Ems, and provide theoretical basis to clinical diagnosis and therapy.Method:Elivision TMplus in Immunohistochemistry method and Stereology method were separately used to detect the integral optical density (IOD) of Survivin and S100A6 in eutopic and ectopic endometrium of 30 cases of OEms and the endometrium of 30 cases of normal control group.AI was evaluated in each group by counting apoptotic cells on hematoxylin and eosin-stained sections under the light microscope.Results:(1)Apoptotic cells existed in the epithelium and mesenchyme of all three groups. Apoptosis index (AI) of eutopic and ectopic endometrium of OEms and the normal control was(3.10±0.75)%,(1.44±0.53)% and (4.79±0.69)%,there was obviously significance between each groups(P<0.01).AI in secretory phase was higher than which in proliferative phase of each group (P<0.01).AI in proliferative phase and secretory phase of the eutopic endometrium of OEms were higher than that of the same phase of the control group (P<0.01).(2) Survivin was distributed mainly in the cytoplasm and nuclei of endometrial epithelial cells and mesenchymal cells of endometrium.Survivin in eutopic and ectopic endometrium of OEms and the normal control was respectively (7.71±4.45),(9.87±5.56) and (3.51±2.54),there was statistical significance between each groups(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Survivin in secretory phase of eutopic endometrium of OEms and the normal control was obviously higher than that in the proliferative phase (P<0.01).Survivin in proliferative and secretory phase of eutopic endometrium of OEms was extremely stronger than that in the same phase of the normal control (P<0.01).(3) S100A6 was distributed mainly in the cytoplasm and epicyte of endometrial epithelial cells and mesenchymal cells of OEms. S100A6 in eutopic and ectopic endometrium of OEms and the normal control was (23.77±16.90),(10.96±6.28)and(67.10±36.46),there was statistical significance between each groups(P<0.01).S100A6 in the proliferative phase of eutopic endometrium of OEms was much higher than that in the secretory phase(P<0.01). S100A6 in both proliferative and secretory phase of eutopic endometrium of OEms was lower than that in the same phase of the normal control (P<0.01).(4) Relative analysis revealed that:The correlation coefficient of Survivin and S100A6 in eutopic endometrium of OEms,ectopic endometrium of OEms and the normal control was-0.517 (P<0.01),-0.695 (P<0.01),-0.326(P>0.05);The correlation coefficient of Survivin and AI in eutopic endometrium of OEms, ectopic endometrium of OEms and the normal control was-0.518(P<0.01),-0.533(P<0.01),-0.344(P>0.05);The correlation coefficient of S100A6 and AI in eutopic endometrium of OEms,ectopic endometrium of OEms and the normal control was 0.559 (P<0.01),0.632 (P<0.01), 0.783 (P<0.01).Conclusion:(1)AI is gradually increased in ectopic endometrium of OEms, eutopic endometrium of OEms and control group, and AI in the secretory phase is significantly higher than that in the proliferative phase.(2) Survivin and S100A6 are found in endometrial epithelial cells and stromal cell, predominantly in glandular epithelial cell.Survivin is found in the cytoplasm and nuclei,while S100A6 is found in the cytoplasm and epicyte.(3)Survivin in the eutopic and ectopic endometrium of OEms show high expression, and have a negative correlation with AI.(4) S100A6 in the eutopic and ectopic endometrium of OEms show low expression,and have a positive correlation with AI.(5) Survivin and AI in secretory phase of eutopic of OEms and normal control group are significantly higher than that in proliferative phase.In OEms eutopic, the level of S100A6 in secretory phase is lower than that of proliferative phase.(6) Both Survivin and S100A6 might be involved in the occurrence and the development of Ems by regulating apoptosis.
