Clinical Stardy On Treating Eczema Of Damp-Heat Type By Bixieshenshitang

Eczema is a kind of scytitis caused by many causes and is characterized by obvious tendency of exudation,severe pruritus and easy recurrence.As for western medicine, eczema is conventionly treated with antihistamine and hormone today.Eczema recurs shortly after drug withdrawl and many side effect result from long-term use of hormone.Comprehensive treatment which combines herbal decoction with external lotion based on the theory of TCM has advantage in alleviating side effect, improving the curative effect and reducing recurrence rate.Aim:this study is aimed at to observe the curative effect of the modification of Bixieshenshitang on eczema of damp-heat type through the comparison with cetirizine and demonstrate the safety and effectivity of traditional medicine.Method:The research is prospective study,semi-random control trial was conducted.All cases came from out-Patients of The Taipei City Hospital,Treatment group,30 cases of dialectical heat type of eczema is to "Bi Xie Shen Shi tang" Treating; control group,25 patients given oral cetirizine; 4w were observed after treatment of itching skin lesions and the degree of improvement and the relapse rate case.Result:In this study,55 cases were observed in patients with heat type of eczema, including 30 cases of Chinese medicine, cured seven cases (23%) were cured,18 cases (60%) is remarkable, effective in 2 cases (7%),3 cases with no effect (10%).The total effective rate 83.3%.WM group treated 25 cases,4 cases were cured(16%) were cured, 14 cases (56%),effective in 4 cases(16%),3 cases (12%),the total effective rate of 72%. Statistically, the two groups was no difference in the total effective rate (P> 0.05), and two clinical scores before and after treatment no difference (p> 0.05) shows traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine eczema considerable effect.However, after treatment 4w, the performance of two groups before and after the skin lesions, itching and recurrence rates as compared to Western medicine group was significantly better than the control group, the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion: Bixieshenshitang has relatively high effectivity and safety on treating eczema of damp-heat type.The main clinical symptoms associated with its good to improve the function and can reduce the relapse rate, patients play an active role in the psychological...
