Affective Priming is an active research field in the last 20 years. Numerous studies show the existence of priming effect. In recent years, researches show that there is the existence of the reverse of affective priming effect. And, the target word frequency is a factor causing reverse effect. The research is to explore the reverse affective priming effect exists in the high-frequency emotional words and its neural mechanisms by taking college students as participants, using the word - word priming paradigm and application of event-related potential technique. The study included two experiments. The design of the experiment 1 was a 2 (Priming Types: Positive, Negative)×2 (Affective Congruency : Congruency, Incongruency)×2( Threshold : Threshold, Subthreshold) within subject factorial. The exeperiment 2 was designed 2 (Priming Types: Positive, Negative)×2 (Affective Congruency: Congruency, Incongruency)×2(Target Word Valence: Hign, Low) repeated measures too. Two experiments were required subjects to judge the valence categorization task of the target words. The former explores threshold and subthreshold levels of presentation, where the high-frequency emotional words existence of emotional priming effect and their neural mechanisms, and the laster explores differences between the target high-frequency words and low frequency words , and their neural mechanisms.Experment1 results show that: The Reapeated Measures ANOVA showed an overall interaction of affective congruency effect×affective priming types. A simple effect indicated that for positive priming , affective congruency effect has the shorter response time, the bigger mean amplititudes and the shorter response latencies, whereas for negative priming, affective incongruency effect has the shorter response time of the LPC component, the bigger mean amplititudes and the shorter response latencies of the LPC component. The former indicates the affective priming, whereas the laster means the reversing affective congruency effect. There are also the differences of the channels. And there are not the differences between threshold and subthreshold.Experment2 results show that: The Reapeated Measures ANOVA showed an significance interaction of affective congruency effect×affective priming types×target words frequency. A simple simple effect indicated that for positive priming , high target words and low target words all indicates that affective congruency effect has the shorter response time, the bigger mean amplititudes and the shorter response latencies of the LPC component, whereas for negative priming, the high target words showed that affective incongruency effect has the shorter response time, the super mean amplititudes and the shorter response latencies of of the LPC component .But there didn't exist the same effect of the low target words in negative priming.Through the two experiments, we could have the following conclusions: (1)There are two factors which influence the reverse affective priming :the negative attention and the role of the target word . (2)There is the affective priming of the high-frequency target words in negative priming. (3)There are the divorces of the positive priming effect and the negative priming effect, which indicates that there has the difference neuro mechanisms...
