Emotion priming effect is a hot research field in recent decades, and many studies haveconfirmed the existence of emotion priming effect. Fazio application experimental study andput forward the earliest emotion priming effect, when individuals after exposed to some tohave the emotional stimulation, on the back of the corresponding stimulation on a layer ofemotional color.In recent years, the researchers found that the mood start the reversal effect, namely thetarget word contrary to start the word emotion potency when react faster. Most of the existingresearch requires subjects to judge target word emotion potency, under this kind of taskparadigm, start the words and target words are consistent emotional valence, determines thestart and the reaction of the target is the same tendency. This study compared the differenttasks under the form of Chinese character emotion priming effect, in order to further testemotion priming effect of cognitive mechanism and the process time, test the reactiontendency of competition model.Experiment used words-words mood start paradigm, task for emotional valencejudgments. Choosing20college students as subjects, using3(start word emotional valence:positive, neutral, negative) x2(target word emotional valence: positive and negative) x2(target word frequency: high frequency and low frequency) three factors within subjectsdesign completely. The results show that high frequency in mood start the reversal effect oftarget word, low-frequency emotions start the consistency of the target word in effect. Mainlymanifested in the change of the reaction time and early attention to ingredients P200, N400and late LPC is composition differences.Experiment2used judgment tasks, true and false words contrast task forms of change onthe influence of emotion priming effect. Choosing20college students as subjects, using2(start word emotional valence: positive and negative) x2(target word emotional valence:positive and negative) x2(target word frequency: high frequency and low frequency) threefactors within subjects design completely. Results show that both the high frequency of target or low-frequency target words are mood start the consistency of the effect. Mainly displays inthe reaction time and N400and LPC composition differences.Integrated the results of two experiments confirmed that the mood start the reversaleffect comes from the form of a specific task, reversal effect and consistency effect can beexplained by reaction competition model.
