Ding Yaokang is a major writer of representative and advanced from the late Ming Dynasty to early Qing Dynasty. His dramas, novels, poems, essays do not work. But because his works are prohibited and destroyed in the Qing Dynasty, a few there, little known that not due attention. Ding Yaokang enjoyed the reputation of the crown of"the Ten aged of Zhucheng City". There's a kind of call is"Northern Ding (Ding Yaokang) and Southern Li (Li Yu)". And the best literary achievements can represent Ding Yaokang, is his dramas. Ding Shoucun, Ding Yaokang's seventh generation grandnephew, said in the back of Notes of Expressing Loyaltdown that most of the thirteen legends lost. Now his legends still exist today are: Tour of Hua Ren, Tour of Chi Song, the Fan of West Lake,Notes of Expressing Loyalty (also called Python's Gall,and the full name is New Yang Jiaoshan Python's Gall). Also,there are two stockage objectives: Fei Fei Dream and Xing Han Cha. His dramas have been kept in part5 of Collection of Huruhon Dramas and Ding Yaokang's Complete Work. Zheng Qian appraised Ding Yaokang in Ten Kinds of Summary of Rare-book Legend that":Or magnificent and tragic,Or fresh and lingering","Is fairer far than the the ordinary work in Sixty kinds of Legend". It is thus clear that Ding Yaokang's dramas creation is an important achievement. A great deal of folk customs arising in Ding Yaokang's dramas is like to play a major characteristic. This thesis analyses the folk customs in Ding Yaokang's four existed dramas.This thesis consists of four parts:Firstly, a brief introduction of Ding Yaokang's works and analysis on the four existed dramas.Secondly, collect and summarize folk customs from Ding Yaokang's dramas.Thirdly, the focus of this research is analysing typical folk customs and their literary source. This thesis ainly analyses a number of typical folk things like proverb, putting coffin aside and not bury, double ninth cake, send-off by breaking off willow branch and swinging swing, also explores their literary source. Fourthly, the connection of folk customs with his dramas is the other focus of this research,and mainly from four aspects to explore, the folk customs in Ding Yaokang's dramas play a key role in character shape,story developing,formation of style and feature. In addition, the great deal of folk customs in his dramas follow his personal understanding and the local characteristics by travelling to various parts. At last, these folk customs have something to do with the social features of the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty.
