Critical is the characteristic of the correspondence of Ming dynasty, and in this critically, there contains the personal independence and spiritual freedom which pursued by the scholar of that present dynasty. In addition, the critical and bold pursuit is significant especially during late Ming dynasty. The "reality" is an exemplification of the pursuit of free will and independence and the incarnation of "affection", too. What's more, it is a great contribution to the literature of Ming dynasty, and it has ideology of correspondences of Tang Xianzu and Yuan Hongdao in common. But there is also a great difference between the specific content, way of expression and styles, and the difference represents the two very different attitudes on the pursuit of "reality". So the comparison of correspondence not only provide a incisiveness for our further research on the development of ideas about Tang Xianzu and Yuan Hongdao, but also provide reference objects for our understanding of the living condition about the scholars in the particular historical background of Ming.
