Research On Motion Verbs In "ZuoZhuan"

Motion verbs have mentioned by many articles and books, but little research on it, and has not been formed system. Few of the books and articles mentioned the motion verbs or only briefly described.The study on motion verbs in "Zuo Zhuan" is even fewer. There is no special work or article on motion verbs in "Zuo Zhuan".In this paper, the writer made the important pre-Qin classics "Zuo Zhuan" for the corpus, and define the motion verbs and made exhaustive statistical analysics.There are 88 verbs in all, in reference 3234; With objective analysis of grammatical phenomena, combined with the characteristics of grammar books, the writer describe and analyze all the moving words in the perspective of syntax and semantics, and summarized the characteristics and patterns of use of the verb in "Zuo Zhuan".In the first chapter the writer introduces the "Zuo Zhuan", and inspect the "Zuo Zhuan" Research displacement verbsand elaborate the significance of this topic, the paper's research method.The second chapter gives the definition of the displacement of the verb and explain the meaning of displacement to determine the defined principles, listing the motion verbs' in"Zuo Zhuan".The third chapter,the writer discusses the "Zuo Zhuan" grammatical function of displacement of verbs, verbs of displacement can be confirmed in the sentence as subject, predicate, adverbial, complement and other grammatical elements; which analyzed the bit in the sentence as a predicate Move the word to its subject, object, adverbial, and complement the combination of law; also briefly describes the structure of the displacement of the predicate verbs and verbs of the phenomenon of displacement.In the fourth chapter, the writer made clasification on motion verbs by the semantic in "Zuo Zhuan".The motion verbs in "Zuo Zhuan" can be devided into two kinds:the direction of motion verbs and verbs into motion verbs description. The direction of motion verbs focus on objects moving from a place to another place.Its semantic points to source or the end of the displacement, or the path. Semantic features can be expressed as [+displacement] [+direction]. According to the different semantic point, can be divided into (1) to leave (2) to reach (3) by category (4) others; Description motion verbs focus on the ways that objects move, or state, can be expressed as [+displacement] [+state], but where to move to the semantic features of words did not reflect.In order to study motion verbs in "Zuo Zhuan", the writer used the following methods:the objective description, accurate statistics; conclude and rules; cited evidence to prove that point and so on. And the writer also used statistical charts and analysis in order to achieve a more intuitive understanding.In short, the writer has selected a semantic category of verbs and made comprehensive description and analysis in semantics and syntax of verbs. The writer strives to make up for some previous research gaps and hope do more or less help for other researchers.
