At present, market and fortune are concentrating on the strong brands of some famous enterprises. The focus of the international economic competition is turning to the contest for brand leadership on a global scale. Faced with new opportunities and challenges, enterprises tend to invest more and more attention to the development of brands. Under this background, diversified development becomes an irresistible trend for enterprises, which is also a means for enterprises to transfer their pressure. Now many famous clothing enterprises in China and abroad start to expand their business to household textile especially bedding, which forms the current situation that an enterprise not only joins in clothing business but also household textile business.The thesis considered brand bedding patterns as the key because there are many common points on pattern styles, design elements and materials between clothing and bedding. The research method is to make a conclusion by analyzing existing literature and comparing the results of market survey. The research objects are home textile brands and bedding brands which are the same with clothing brands, or which are the same with clothing brands but attached to different suffixes. The samples are world famous brands and some domestic influential brands. The study on bedding pattern design of brand clothing mainly consists of the following three parts:Firstly, study a brand bedding pattern's inheritance and development of the brand style and as well as its pattern design elements and design language. Secondly, analyze and conclude the design elements of brand beddings of different clothing brands. Thirdly, study the different influence of the same brand design style and element on different products.During the research process, the author looked up related literature and brand websites, conducted a field market survey on the beddings of brand clothing in Shanghai and collected and categorized plenty of critical materials. The thesis found out some laws and summarized some conclusions. Difference exists among bedding pattern design brand sources and styles of brand clothing which are the same with clothing brands, or which are the same with clothing brands but are attached to different suffixes. Bedding design of brand clothing is the expansion of the brand and also is the derivation and development of the brand style. The difference on products between brand bedding and clothing is just like seeking common points while reserving difference. Different thickness, materials and weave structures or different patterns and colors possess different annotation about pattern styles. On bedding design, while inheriting brand culture, pattern design should also take many functions such as keeping warm, comfort index and human affinity into consideration. In addition, the pattern colors, arrangement, materials and styles link with and balance each other so as to achieve a unified design, a complementary effect of a strong sense of layers and unified space and a multi-level adornment effect on the spacing, reality and intensity between beddings and the bedroom and create the beauty in space, aspect ration and dimension of house textile adornment.The research results of the thesis describe characteristics of bedding pattern design of brand clothing comprehensively and clearly from horizontal and longitudinal viewpoints and provide reference of profession design for brand clothing enterprises or bedding brand operators to know about and expand their brand products. The conclusions shall provide valuable reference and instructions for the enterprises who plan to develop beddings of brand clothing and who have their own bedding brands.
