Study On The Polysyllables Of Xin Yu

This paper is based on XIN YU JIAO ZHU written by Mr. Wang Liqi, according to the actual situation, the research results of many scholars of ancient Chinese on the disyllabic words and finally we confirm the standard of how to determine the disyllabic words of XIN YU. Firstly, to identify the disyllabic words from the angle of word-formation way, we use the way of comparing the vertically and horizontally methods. Then making exhausting research on disyllabic words and dividing the type and the meaning of the disyllabic words. At last, we clear it up based on the original article. There are 1469disyllabic words in total, except for proper nouns and numerals and repeating words, such as people's names, places and so on. Finally we confirm that there are 874disyllabic words in XIN YU.This thesis is divided into eight chapters: The first chapter: introduction, it mainly introduces the book Xinyu written by Lujia and the corpus value of the book, as well as the research methods and meaning of disyllabic and polysyllabic words. The second chapter basically introduces the standard to divide the disyllabic and polysyllabic words in xinyu.That is to say grammatical structure, vocabulary significance, frequency, rhetoric standard and affix mark. Chapter Three of the XINYU offered examples of polysyllabic words; the fourth chapter of the XINYU analyzed the Linked Words from the standpoint of the relationship of inside meaning , parts of the speech, ,word order and so on; Chapter Five analyzed the partial formal polysyllabic words in XINYU, respectively from two aspects: the semantics and the part of speech; Chapter Six of the XINYU offered the classification of "verb-object-type" polysyllabic words as well as example analysis; Chapter Seven describes other forms of Polysyllabic words in XINYU, and some example analysis of polysyllabic words to the main predicate, dynamic complement form polysyllabic words, the additional type polysyllabic words, polysyllabic words overlapped and polysyllabic function words. In the chapter of 8,it is summarizing all the disyllabic words in .Finally, there appendix the total table of disyllabic words in XINYU. By studying of disyllabic words in XINYU,and then adding it to the whole development process of ancient Chinese words ,we can see the development situation of disyllabic words in this period .From the side, that reflect as much characteristics of the vocabulary as possible in the early period of Xian. ,as well as the language style of this period. So as to provide some reference materials for the research of Chinese history.
