The Creative Features And Singing Style Of Rossini' Art Songs

Gioachino Antonio Rossini (1792-1868)is a famous Italian opera masters who created thirty-nine operas in his life. As a comic opera and opera composer he is a very important person in music history. The opera "The Barber of Seville" is considered as the most outstanding Italian comic opera. Rossini won the reputation of opera masters for the great creation, achievements and influence in world history. People are mostly familiar with the opera of Rossini. The famous arias have been applied widely in the vocal music teaching, but people have little knowledge of the art song, cantata, chamber music and other creative works written by Rossini .These rich, almost untapped treasure in Rossini's music writing career also occupy an important position. The peculiar style of Rossini's works have been fully embodied in art songs which has the unique artistic charm and inheritance value.The art songs written by Rossini have luxuriant, flowing melody. These art songs is not only good vocal music teaching pieces, but also the ideal concert selects pieces. It is helpful for the learners to improve their singing skills of vocal music. I hope that the works can play their due value in the teaching practice process.This thesis analysis the art songs of Rossini from the following four parts.The first part, reviewing Rossini's brief life, then introduce Rossini's opera creation achievement briefly; The second part, combined with creation background and the creative stage characteristic, analyzes and summarizes the general creation of art songs. The third part, analysis the creative features of Rossini's art songs from genre, melody structure, poetry, piano accompaniment and music dramatic. The fourth part, select representative works of art songs such as"The Promise","The Peproach","the Parting","The Invitation"to analysis the singing style of Rossini's art songs.In the process of learning and singing the art songs of Rossini, the glamour that send out by Rossini's art songs attracted me deeply. This is also the reason that I select Rossini'art songs as the research object. I hope, through the further study of Rossini'art songs can help me have the more in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the works. Meanwhile, it has important significance to improve my singing level. I hope this paper can help singing learners master the writing characteristics and singing style of Rossini's art songs.
