The Vocabulary Of Songci And The Language Of Period Song

Language is an important part of culture. The Period Song is at the beginning of modern Chinese. The language in the Period Song is very important to the history of Chinese language. The light literature can reflect the characteristics of language.Songci is the most popular literary forms in the Period Song which maintain a lot of linguistic data. Songci is not only valuable as material, but also as theory. There are so many writings about Songci, but the number of academic article is small.It has five branches in the research of Songci: style, corpus, writer, theory and history. In recent years, the researchers try to compare Songci to other literary forms, such as aesthetics, theory of art, folklore.This paper proceeds from linguistic point, summarize the characteristics of the Period Song after analysis large number of corpus. It doesn't limited by literary and artistic. The basic of this paper is the vocabulary of Songci, show the theory value of Songci from four sides: structure of language, character of language, social factors and the formation of the word.
