Study On The Imagery Of Chou In SongCi

Chou is a unique expression of emotions in the traditional Chinese culture,which is very rich in content and performance.For the development of the local psychology and Chinese traditional culture having beeen repeatedly stressed today,the study of Chou will contribute to the emotional research in the Chinese traditional culture.This study used the content analysis as its research methods,and all the Song Ci which contains the world Chou in the whole Song Ci as its study sample.All the sample was judged and analysed in accordance with three dimensions——emotional themes,images and the type of image features.The outcomes of the study stand in three sides.Firstly,there are 9 first-level emotional themes and 7 second-level emotional themes.Secondly,the study enumereate the images of every emotional themes.Finally,the characters of season,humidity,monvement,heat,width and heavy are presented by percentage.The conclusion of the study lies in two.One is a overall grasp of Chou,according to Lazarus cognition——evaluation theory, this study tried to put forward the core relational theme of Chou, that is the felling of helplessness cause encountered some specific or vague loss.The another is the nuances of Chou which are embodied by the images and its characters in different emotion themes.Generally speaking,the images of emotion Chou in Song Ci are mostly vernal,wet,Obvious dynamic,cold,obvious wide,and of little difference of weight and ethereal.At the same time,the images under the different are diverse,so are the characteristics of each emotional theme's image.The image of these four emotional themes——home sick,missing friends,sighing with emotion life,Sighing with emotion historical life——are mostly of fall,and images of other emotional themes are mainly vernal;All the emotional themes'images are wet,particularly in the two emotional themes of being adrift and Sighing with emotion historical life.The images of being lonely show a clear static characteristics,which distinguish it from other emotional themes by this feature;The emotional themes that is obvious cold are being lonely,being adrtift,homesick, missing friends,the themes that is warmer are missing lover,yearning unknown object,expressing the ambition of dedicating oneself to the service of motherland, sighing with emotion life and sighing with perishable time;The themes that is obvious wide are being adrift,sigh with emotion historical life and sighing with perishable time;The obvious ethereal themes are being lonely,and missing lover;the obvious weight ones are being adrift,separating,expressing the ambition of dedicating oneself to the service of motherland,signing with emotion historical life,homesickness,and missing friends.
