This essay studies the development of project-based curriculum in Industrial Art at secondary vocational educational level. With the rapid economic development and improvement of people's living condition, the industrial art field related to culture, tourism and home decoration has become a new growth of the economy and social development. The rapid progress in industrial art field has promoted Industrial Art at secondary vocational education. Due to the varied characters of professional abilities in Industrial Art, its curriculun development can't apply to the curriculum developing model and practical experience in manufacturing and service field.Owing to the variety of working tasks made by the regional industry, the project-based curriculum development faces great difficulty. Limited by the subjective and objective factors, vocational schools don't own enough conditions and abilities to get overall breakthrough in Industrial Art curriculum development. Meanwhile the curriculum model remains traditional. The training ability can't adapt to the rapid industrial development.This essay tries to study the curriculum structure development and content development, based on the research in professional activities and vocational abilities in Industrial Art at secondary vocational education and provides instructions for curriculum development in Industrial Art.This essay composes of four chapters:Chapter 1 Introduction. It mainly explains origin of research, range and limitation; ways and ideas; frame and possible innovation. Domestic and overseas research achievements of project-based curriculum are sorted. In this way, the research blanks and deficiency will be found and it will be the working target and expansion space.Chapter 2 The characteristics of professional activities and abilities in Industrial Art at secondary vocational school. By comparing with manufacturing industry, service field and higher vocational education, this essay tries to analyse the specifications of professional activities and vocational abilities in Industrial Art.Chapter 3 Curriculum structure development of Industrial Art. It focuses on analysis of project-based course objectives in Industrial Art, and studies project-based curriculum programs at macro level and specific style and structure development of project-based curriculum.Chapter 4 Curriculum development in Industrial Art. It mainly studies the basic elements of the project-based curriculum in industrial art and mini project-based lesson development at microcosmic level.The above chapters form a complete project-based curriculum development in Industrial Art at secondary vocational education level.
