The research of calligraphy and painting in Qing Dynasty has launched in the method of multi-angle and multi-level, it also has made many important achievements in the history and theory of calligraphy and painting. "The official books and records for calligraphy and painting in Qing Dynasty" in this paper, mainly depend on the inscribed books and copying works of government-sponsored compilation. This study includes the characteristics, functions, types, production and distribution, development of law etc. for the official books and records for calligraphy and painting in Qing Dynasty, and linked those content and the history of the Qing Dynasty calligraphy and painting, it not only highlights the principles, systems and methods of general bibliography, but, at the same time, also highlights the aesthetic judgments for the calligraphy and painting and the value of its history. That means it must involve the calligraphy painting and the bibliography. This paper takes the official books and records for calligraphy and painting in Qing Dynasty as research object, and based on the general laws of bibliography, and highlights original value for the official books and records for calligraphy and painting in Qing Dynasty and the important value for the history of calligraphy and painting in Qing Dynasty.The bibliographic research of official books and records for calligraphy and painting in Qing Dynasty not only the collection and management for pure art data, also is the part of the big bibliography as well, it is a systematic research for the different-times literatures and includes its nature, type, morphology, really or false, production and circulation, as well as its value and importance of this research.
