Since the new century, the concepts of Chinese film from leading to the film investment philosophy, creative ideas are in the event of intense change. Facing the historic opportunities of the globalization transition for Chinese film, the Mainland and Hong Kong film carry out the in-depth cooperation by their own accumulated experiences under each other. The film production and interactive exchange by the co-operant way of co-production broke out of the single mode of a transverse exchange about products, constitute an important cultural phenomenon. The Mainland and Hong Kong film in the new century, have formally entered the "era of post-co-production ".For a long time, scholars have been making a study of the Hong Kong films and the Chinese films since the new century, but few scholars examine the two-way interaction between the Mainland films and the Hong Kong films. Why does the co-production assume an inevitable trend? What are the meaning and impact of the co-production for Chinese film? What successful models has the cooperation? These issues, in 2009, on the occasion of the Hong Kong Film century birthday, the 60th anniversary of New China, the great fortune of China film development transition, are combed and sorted out., which has not only academic significance, but also has practical significance for the Chinese film industry development and cultural construction. This article discusses four aspects:First, the history and status quo of the co-production and exchange between the Mainland and Hong Kong films. Above all, Clearing the concept definition of co-production film and post-co-production era, the next, combing vertically overview on development of the Mainland and Hong Kong co-produced films, focusing on the aspects from the concept adjustment of both co-production to the spread of the co-production market, clearing the major changes of Chinese film industry after development in post-co-production era. Second, the interaction between Mainland and Hong Kong films co-production and exchange. For one thing, the influence of Hong Kong film on Mainland film mainly embodies three aspects such as the concept changes of the film concept and market concept, Hong Kong-produced co-productions increase the shares of the mainland film market, promote maturity of mechanism of the mainland film industry; For another thing, the influence of Mainland film on Hong Kong film mainly embodies the aspects such as the expansion of the geographical environment, promoting innovation of Hong Kong film industry, deepening the culture reflect of Hong Kong films on the mainland and so on. The communication and cooperation between two places in the film culture, industry and other aspects have demonstrated a new productive forces after the optimization and integration, and gradually developed into core part of the film industry. The close symbiotic relationship between the Mainland and Hong Kong films has become a strong consensus.Third, the cooperation mode between Mainland and Hong Kong film industries. With the in-depth cooperation in film industry, a new model of Chinese large business has been jointly created, which make the Chinese film that sets of funds, personnel, technology and other advantages become the main brand in Chinese film market. At the same time, the cooperation between the film industries of two places has also led to exploration in a diversified film type model, cultural opening model, and other co-producing modes, which has significantly improved the Chinese film industry's core competitiveness.Fourth, the thinking and analysis on co-production and the development trend of Chinese films in the new century. On the one hand, we should clear that convergence of the film industry has become a prominent bright spot in the CEPA framework; on the other hand, we also need to clearly understand that, although the Chinese film industry has been in the rising channel which is opened up by film industry reforms, some institutional and structural factors have begun to show a bottleneck effect that do not adapt to industrial development requirements. Therefore, improving the international competitiveness of the Chinese film industry is particularly important for the long-term development of the Chinese film industry. The author tries to make positive and effective proposals from six points of view.
