Christology is the core part of Christianity. In the 5th century A.D, in the Byzantine empire, Nestorius, the church archbishop of Constantinople and Cyril, the church archbishop of Alexandria began a debate on Christology. This debate has theological and more political interest exists. Debate spread to the whole Christian world, and influenced the empire. Christian church in power, as rising within the church, thus often outbreak. These disputes is shown on the surface of Christianity righteousness, but often its concern for reality hides behind. Christian will rise in the period of the church and the empire politicized political interference caused many religious conflict of complicated and confusing. The christological controversy between Nestorius and Cyril is in this exist complex politico-religious relationship under the background of the debate, and full of chaos quarrel process. In a certain extent,through the research,we can reveal the reason and essence of religious strife.
