By consulting literature and web search, on the one hand, this paper has read carefully on the monograph of the new media art and searched the related articles on the new media art published in recent years; On the other hand, it has browsed the new media art-related sites to obtain data and comprehensive information in order to study the rapid developing and gradually showed new media art forms. From the aspects of the media technology, new media, new media art, cultural sociology and Chinese new media art, the introduction of this paper summarizes the studies of both domestic and international on new media art and related areas.This paper is divided into three parts:The first chapter analyzes the causes of the vague definition of the new media arts. Then it summarizes the new media art defined in this article. It means the ways of social perception and the forms of cultural practice which belong to their own cultural mission relying on the modern technology and new media in the logic of the post-media era. This research studies the transition of the new media art from the edge to the center and from the laboratory to the market, focusing on the application of new media art in the cultural and creative industries and public service fields.Chapterâ…¡, it analyzes the culture and art, the creative economy and the social structure of the new media art respectively from the sides of art, economics and cultural sociological. Section I, The artistic potential of the new media art includes the reality of the virtual, the liberation of the senses and the art of the life. The task of the new media artists is to use those things which are the opposite of the mainstream culture and combine them with the diversity and uncertain of its culture; II, We regard new media art as a branch of cultural and creative industries to study its creative nature of cultural production and its location in the cultural and creative industry chain and its meaning of the cultural construction. Among them, I focus on the specific application of new media. The third quarter, it studies the change of the relationship between producers and consumers. Then it figures out the development of the social conditions and the operation of institutional in the process of the new media art production. At last, it reveals the meaning of production, dissemination and cultural construction for the new media art in China.Chapterâ…¢, after a simple comparison of the differences between Chinese and Western new media art,I focus on the history of new media art in China and its present situation and problems.Then on the basis of the Western new media art, I propose some constructive views. The key of Chinese new media art is to find the Chinese language style and the local survival mechanisms. Then to think the phenomenon of globalization of the new media art, we try to create the international exchange and trading service platform.The methodological significance of the new media art is not only making the interaction of human sensory systems in the digital technology, not only making the appearance of the mixed media, but also it actively urges the new media artists to think and produce the works in the network-based way of open ,developing and non-linear. Then it can lead the new media art to the macro and public level. Studying the new media art, which is an important source of economic development and the social construction of core strength in the future of public space, commercial space and even a great private space, can help to reveal its trend to the service field in the information era. It also promote the development of the new media art in China in the cultural industry chain and provide some policy reference for the government.
