According to the literature education theory,literature education connotation is embodied in three level.First, literature education of ideology,which refers to the effects of literature reading that embody the education function and its literary value orientation.Second, social form literature education that is generalized literature education include family literature education, community library, cultural center and all kinds of literary community, etc.Third,literature education of system form, which refers to putting literature ecucation into national education system , sets literature education goals,implementing ways, evaluation mechanism,etc , appears in the forms of teaching outline and literature teaching and will be implemented to all kinds of teaching practice of school literature education.The paper expounds Hu Shi's literature education of ideology and literature education of system form which is from value level and literature education level of school's to discuss literature's education function and the effects on man.As a historical event, if we think about Hu Shi's literature education theory frame in a unary way,we will be disoriented. Only restoring it for phenomenon itself, abiding by development and change of specific processes, complying with destruction and construction of two aspects, can we realize it. Although Hu Shi didn't discuss literature education specially,he nearly teached in Beijing University for eighteen years.His literature education ideas, scattered in various literature books,must be broad and profound.To begin with,Hu Shi's literary background, education experience and cultural mentality together determine his literature education concept. With new literature and new education mutually infiltrating and promoting each other, Hu shi firmly believed China's colloquialism literature is the best mandarin textbook,and closely combined the national education with literary revolution. In 1920, the central government ministry of education issued a command which asked primary and secondary school to begin using colloquialism material in textbook. Since then, until today,an educated man almost can not only speak but also write a letterand a composition with pen. This is a profound impact of the colloquialism literature education, the great contributions of Hu shi.What's more,it's about longitudinal study of Hu shi's literature education ideas system.Hu shi regarded Chinese education as the most powerful tool to propaganda new culture and implement mandarin.That Classical Chinese was replaced by colloquialism created prerequisites for the popularity of education and played a huge role for education development . Therefore it played an important role to improve the cultural quality of ordinary people. He established the literature education important positions for the objective of middle school language. To raise people's attention to colloquialism,he believed students must be educated to see colloquialism books and write in colloquialism since one was very young.Hu Shi, as an advocater of new literature, his literature education features is practical, evolution and humanitarian.Hu Shi's thought of vernacular article is his main idea of literature education concept .The ideas of Hu Shi's literature education make modern free speech as its essentials and emphasize personality independentce and character liberation, which is from macroscopic background of literary view at that time and his liberalism.The core of Hu Shi's literature education ideas is exposing and criticizing the disadvantages of classical Chinese,so Hu shi broke all ties and sentenced classical Chinese to death,and he believed death must not output live literary text,which shows it is profounder and profounder for Hu Shi to think about literature education.
