Objective: First, the paper aims to test the reliability and validity of the CCDAT when used in the evaluation of higher vocational students' codependency; second, investigate the higher vocational students'codependency and self-confidence condition; third, explore the effects of confidence training on improving higher vocational students' self-confidence, self-esteem and codependency level.Method: CCDAT and other scales are applied in the questionnaires and 150 students in a higher vocational college of Shanxi province are asked to finish them, then CCDAT scale's internal consistency reliability, half reliability and construct validity are analyzed. 1300 freshmen and sophomores in a higher vocational college of Shanxi province are investigated and PEI, SES, CCDAT scales serve as measurement tools to analyze the relationship between demographic variable and confidence, self-esteem and codependency. Within the 1300 students, 95 students in two classes are randomly selected as intervention group for confidence training, and 128 students in three classes are randomly chosen as control group, then PEI, SES and CCDAT are adopted to reflect the confidence training intervention, finally SPSS13.0 is used to make correlation analysis, multi-factor regression analysis, t test to evaluate the effectiveness of such intervention. Results: (1) For CCDAT scale, the internal consistency Cronbach 'sαcoefficient is 0.913 and half reliability coefficient is 0.866, which demonstrate high reliability; RMSEA=0.082,χ~2 df=1.89, and Model fitting achieves acceptable standard, which show that this scale has good construct validity.(2) Gender differences, student cadres or not, parents'occupation are factors influencing self-confidence, self-esteem and codependency level and there exists statistical significance (p< 0.05). The total value and every aspect of codependency have a significant correlation with academic performance, appearance, love relations, social interaction, talking with others, overall confidence level, mental condition, etc; multiple stepwise regression analysis further suggests that the major influential factors are appearance, overall confidence level, social interaction, talking with others and love relationship, etc.(3) The results of intervention:The t test of confidence level shows there exists significant difference for intervention group(P=0.000), between the two groups(P=0.000)and difference(p=0.000).The t test of self-esteem shows there exists significant difference for intervention group(P=0.000), between the two groups(P=0.015)and difference(p=0.028).The t test of codependency shows there exists significant difference for intervention group(P=0.001), between the two groups(P=0.000)and difference(p=0.002).Conclusion: CCDAT has reasonable construct and the simplified CCDAT questionnaire has high reliability and validity in higher vocational students'investigation, which proves to be an effective tool to measure vocational students'codependency. For higher vocational students, the phenomenon of codependency exists to a large extent, and there is significant difference in gender, student cadres or not. Serving as a student cadre can improve one's confidence and self-esteem, besides, confidence training helps improve the vocational students' self-confidence, self-esteem and codependency level.
