In the initial stage of New China, the popularization and dissemination of People's Daily on Marxism and the results of Marxism's sinicization had promoted the process of popularization of Marxism. Namely:we must insist on being consistent with the needs of social development, combining with the social practice and vital interests of the masses.In conclusion, based on the relevant historical documents, this paper studied and analyzed the background, historical process and feature, and effect and limitations of Marxist popularity promoted by People's Daily in initial stage of New China. I hope we can get historical enlightenment from how Chinese Communist Party use the media to propagandize Marxist popularity in early days, so as to provide historical reference of promoting the contemporary Chinese Marxist popularity.
