In the comical ideological trend of modern new literature, the magazine yusi and luyun were key positions, as the actual editor of yusi and the soul of lunyu, Zhou zuo-ren played an irreplaceable role in them. The popular of comical trend was for that comical literature, whether literary form or ideology, were resistance to a fixed order, which adapt to the modern sharply changed world. Because the traditional culture order collapsed, and the alien culture for modern people deeply influenced, Modern China could provide for people only was a broken and troublous world. Scholars in it, only utter an appropriate express way between history and aesthetic form, The uniqueness of comical literature just adapted to the demand. Zhou zuo-ren as an important representative, whose criticize and reference to the comical resource reflected the chances of new literature, and the trance of a scholars how to chose personal position and art way.In the many models, such old and new, native and alien, Zhou zuo-ren wanted to gain certain freedom trough rejecting to every still position and every still appreciation of the beauty. The before three chapter will choose the debate event about comical, and the keywords respectively is popular funny, folk funny and traditional literati funny, for briefly show the pursuit of Zhou zuo-ren's realistic stance and aesthetic standard process.In the late Qing dynasty, when Zhou zuo-ren studied in Japan, he exalted the western countries and belittled the Chinese comical tradition, Western (contain Japan) started to be the powerful frame.
