Motivation is one of the most important affective elements in foreign language learning, which plays an important role when students in Filipino Chinese Schools are learning Chinese. Motivation isn't an isolated element; it has connections with other factors. Therefore, a thorough research on the learners'motivation helps us to find out the answers to the questions in Chinese teaching in that country, and it serves a guideline to Chinese teaching and management in a way.Based on relevant research on second language acquisition both home and abroad and the research findings in the field of TCAFL, this study is a survey and analysis of the learning motivation of students in the Philippines within the framework of education, second language acquisition and school management, using a research method of questionnaire. The ultimate goal of the study is to learn the characteristics of learning motivation of the Pilipino students, in order to provide references and recommendations for teaching and management in Pilipino Chinese School. As it turns out, students in Filipino Chinese Schools have high interest in foreign language learning, and they value the communicational function of Chinese. While they value the language itself, they don't take Chinese courses seriously, and they are not in favor of people who speak Chinese. At the same time, the Motive Intensity is low, and parents don't help much in their Chinese learning. The Filipino students have two different dimensions of motivation in ethnicity and years of study. In general, students of Chinese origin have a higher motivation level than those who are of non-Chinese origin; Those who have studied more than five years have a higher level of motivation than those whose study years is below five years. Meanwhile, we come up with some strategies in teaching and management, such as enhancing the structure of teachers, improving the teachers'professional skills, standardizing teaching, and building campus culture of Chinese characteristic, which agree with the current situation in Filipino Chinese Schools, so that the students' learning motivation will be well stimulated.
