At present,the research on Chinese language learning motivation mainly focuses on the study of overseas students and overseas Confucius Institute students.The research on the motivation of learning Chinese language students is relatively rare.This study was inspired by previous studies,combined with relevant motivation theories,comprehensively applied questionnaires,quantitative analysis,and comparative research methods to understand the general situation of the learning motivation of Chinese majors in the Novosibirsk State Normal University in Russia.In quantitative analysis,the author summarizes the main types of learner motivation,including reality,interest,integration,compulsion,learning situation,and attitude.At the same time,it further analyzes the influence of grades,teachers,and teaching materials on learning motivation,and compares the results of the survey with the motivations of students of the Confucius Institute at Novosibirsk State Technical University.Through investigation and analysis,the author reached the following conclusions:The overall learning motivation of Chinese language majors at the Novosibirsk State Normal University is relatively strong.From the perspective of motivation type,the integration motivation is the strongest and the actual motivation is strong.The situational motivation and forced motivation are the weakest.Among the factors that affect the motivation of learning: from the perspective of grade differences,the first-year students have the strongest motivation for learning,and the intensity of learning motivation of the first-and fourth-grade students presents a distinct“U”-shaped structure;from the perspective of teachers,some students' learning motivation is To a large extent,it is influenced by the teachers,especially the way the teachers attend classes.From the perspective of the teaching materials,the content and interest of the teaching materials directly affect the learning motivation of Chinese language majors.Compared with the students of the Confucius Institute at Novosibirsk State Technical University,the results of the survey found that studentsof Chinese language majors at Novosibirsk State Normal University were more strongly motivated than students of the Confucius Institute at Novosibirsk State Technical University.Finally,based on the results of the survey and teaching experience in Novosibirsk,the author discusses the strategies for stimulating the learning motivation of Chinese language majors at the State University of Novosibirsk,Russia in terms of teachers,teaching,and students.
