In the process of learning Chinese,I found that Korean who want to learn Chinese have not strong motivation, especially in the fever of Chinese language. This is a severe problem that deserves to find a solution. The most important thing to learn foreign language is the interest that learner find themselves. Many scholars have come to conclusions about the many factors involved in determining academic achievement. In order to stimulate and strengthen these students ' motivation for learning, the first thing to do is to learn how to study in practical teaching environments. In order to increase the interest and motivation of learning Chinese,it is necessary to try to make teaching methods and methods of learning. Therefore,it is necessary to use various kinds of materials to design various kinds of activities. On the contrary, teachers, textbooks, and learners' efficacy in teaching, such as teaching themselves, are likely to weaken the student's vitality. So,what factors in the study of Chinese learning tend to weaken the motivation of learner's motivation. This research was a survey of Korean undergraduate students about 1)their decrease in motivation for studying Chinese,2)the factors that affect this decrease in motivation, and 3)how the teaching curriculum for the Chinese language could be changed to fit the needs of Korean students. In this survey, more than half of the surveyed Korean students reported that they have experienced a decrease in motivation during the process of learning Chinese. However,in comparison, very few students reported an actual decrease in their interest about the Chinese language.According to the survey, many students reported that although their motivation has decreased, their level of interest in the Chinese language and culture continued to be very high.Secondly, students of the intermediate level reported a greater decrease in their motivation for learning Chinese than students of a lower level. Thus,it is crucial that the level of interest and motivation that is present in 1st year students be maintained as they advance into the intermediate level classes.Students of higher levels desired more instrumental learning and also had more motivation for learning. The desire to be better at Chinese had a positive impact on students' motivation.Thirdly, according to the survey, students reported that the biggest factor in losing motivation for studying Chinese, despite their continued interest, was the teacher. The next biggest factors were personal influence and then the classroom curriculum.Rote teaching method and excessive amount of assignments were large components. The reason for why the teacher played the biggest role in their decrease in motivation was due to emphasis on rote memorization and rote teaching method in the classroom, plus the inadequate opportunities to practice conversing Chinese. In terms of the classroom curriculum, students reported that the content was too simple, trite, and far-off in terms of applicability. For these reasons, students in the intermediate-level Chinese classes had a decrease in motivation and confidence.
