The Space Construction And Cultural Meaning Of Taiwanese New Film

Taiwanese New Film plays an important role in the history of Taiwanese film. The cultural perspective and esthetic style which are formed in the period of Taiwanese New Film affected many directors. Since the 1980s Taiwanese films formed analogical artistic characteristics. Therefore, Taiwanese New Films were draw the attention of academia. So far, there are many individual researches about directors or Taiwanese New Film, but there are few comprehensive researches about it. The existing researches were concentrated on the sociology and history. Few of them were concentrated on the artistic style. This article summarized several films as text materials, to analysis image,camera language and cultural connotations from the perspective of the film space. This article falls into five sections:The first part is the introduction; the second part is about the classification of film space and the relations between characters; the third part is the techniques of new film showing; the fourth part is the cultural analysis about film space of Taiwanese New Film; the fifth part is the conclusion.
