Jiang Biao, a famous official and scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, lead the education reforming in Hunan Province. He died at 40,left with plenty of his own works and the writings of his teachers and friends which were printed by him.Due to the limited materials, former researchers haven't made apparent progress on the issues related with Jiang Biao. This paper is founded on new materials, including Dian Yi Diary and the works of Jiang's teachers and friends, making some important supplements.The first two chapters are about Jiang's family background and his life experience.The third chapter is on Jiang's works, and his book printing activities is discussed in the fourth one.The last chapter is a summary.At the end of this paper, there are 7 appendices.
