The Multi-angles Research Of "Ben X(本X)" Structure

The usage of "Ben X(本X)" structure, which is formed with the demonstrative pronoun "Ben(本)" and noun phrases,is a very regular and characteristic phenomenon in Chinese. The former study of this kind of "Ben X(本X)" structure is not comprehensive and systematic. This study mainly adopt the research method of Xing Fuyi's "two triangle" theory, which is based on the "pu" angle and added with "gu" angle,and the "three full" principles of full view, full description, full explanations. The paper is also with numerous instances, combining diachronic and synchronic study, while using comparative analysis, the theories of cognitive linguistic and Prosodic Syntax to make a comprehensive investigation of "Ben X(本X)" structure from various angles.The thesis mainly includes the following seven parts:The first part is to introduce the study background and meaning;to analyze the former researches of "Ben(本)" and "Ben X(本X)" structure and point out the inadequacy of them; to define the content and purposes of research; to explain the research methods and material sources.The second part is about the grammar features analysis of "Ben X(本X)" structure. In the aspect of structure forms, we think that "Ben(本) " in "Ben X(本X)" should be called "referential word". Most "X" are single syllable or two syllables words and generally are nouns or classifiers. In syntax position, "Ben X(本X)" structure is noun structure and can be the subject, object, attribute, appositive, adverbial modifier of the sentences. In the aspect of combination and collocation, "Ben X(本X)" structure has certain selectivity.The third part analyzes the "Ben X(本X)" structure's semantic meaning and use the word list to summarize the semantic category and restrictions of "X". We classify the "Ben X(本X)" words into three categories:self-referential class, today-referential class, this-referential class. The "Ben X(本X)" words have the semantic features of distinctions and subjectivity.The fourth part analyzes the pragmatic value of "Ben X(本X)" structure, points out that "Ben X(本X)" words have the features of economy, productivity, culture, formalization and uniqueness, which meet the people's pragmatic demand well. The fifth part compares "Ben X(本X)" structure with other alleged expressions in modern Chinese alleged system; finds out that there are certain entanglements between "Ben X(本X)"and "Gai X (该X) ","Gui X (贵X) ", "Ci X (此X) ", "Zi X (自X) ", "Wo X (我X)" in specific textual use.The sixth part makes a diachronic investigation of "Ben X(本X)".Through the investigation of two typical lexicalization cases, we explore "Ben X(本X)" words' lexicalization tendency. Rhythm mechanism, frequency mechanism and the psychological factors such as cognitive mechanism commonly restrict "Ben X(本X)" race words' lexicalization process. Then we probe the reasons of the form of the "Ben X(本X)" structure and it's development trend.The last part is about conclusion and prospect, makes certain summary of the thesis, expounds the innovation of this paper point and further research in the future that is worth to do.
