Chinese adverbs in foreign language teaching are a great problem in the field of foreign language teaching. This paper intends to explore the relationship between Clause-Oriented Theory and Chinese adverbs in foreign language teaching, trying to through the Clause-Oriented Theory to discuss the substance of adverbs and the problem of teaching, to find new inspiration and the way. The full text is composed by six chapters:Chapterâ… mainly outlines the overall development of teaching adverbs and clarifies the line of thinking of the research in this paper.Chapterâ…¡Mainly explores the theory and the results of the adverbs study in the Clause-Oriented Theory and the possible inspiration of teaching adverbs.Chapterâ…¢is combined with the difficulties in adverbs study, the potential problems in grammar teaching and current adverbs teaching. Through scientific and practical criteria and the description of the relationship between vocabulary and grammar, it further demonstrates the necessity and the feasibility of Clause-Oriented Theory applied to foreign language teaching.Chapterâ…£in the analysis the advantages and disadvantages of the vocabulary emphasis in teaching strategies discusses the adverbs teaching strategy issues, combined with the advantages of the current vocabulary teaching, proposes a guideline for the adverbs teaching to the "Governing Force of Clauses". Adopt teaching strategies deriving from vocabulary-grammar exchanges, underline the teaching use of adverbs and the parallel glossary radiant.Chapterâ…¤on the basis of the comparison among the adverbs in "Words and Characters for Chinese Proficiency Level Outline class"(revised) And "Chinese Proficiency Standards and Grammar Outline class", "Outline of the new HSK", "Modern Chinese Dictionary", researches the systematic characteristics of adverbs in the vocabulary outline.Chapterâ…¥is the conclusion, much of the content illustrated in this article consists only in superficial personal ideas, concrete teaching practice is to verify. This paper argues that, Clause-Oriented Theory is the most sophisticated system of thought in Chinese Grammar, its research ideas and theories have many inspiring places worth of further elaboration. It is particularly suitable for training foreign language teachers' capacity of researching.
