The Study On Gan Pengyun's Academic Achievement And Acad-emic Thought

The late qing dynasty and the early republican china is the per-iod of the transformantion and development traditional chines culture therefore, the academic research of the period also become the important content and is paid attention increasingly by academic.Gan pengyun is one of the famous scholar in hu-bei area,Fangzhishang is one of his representative works and occupies an imp-ortant position in the field of Local records.Adopting the research method whic-h combines philosophy with thought,this thesis comprehensivelyexplore academic achievements and academic thoughts of Gan peng-yun from the perspective of philology.This thesis includes three parts.The first part introduces Ganpengyun's exp-eriences and his Academic activities.Gan pengyun lived the late qing dynasty and the early republican china.He witnessed the end of traditional chinese cult-ure and the beginning of modern culture.He also witnessed backwardness and declination of China.He was born in an intellectual family.when he was a child,he benefited from his grandfather and his father.In his childhood,he was fond of poetry and anecdotes.When he was grown up,he was enthusiastic about the examinations of bec-oming an offical. In his later years, he devoted himself to writing, the book printing and cause of local philology'preservat-ion,and so on.His main lucub-rations includes The origin of theConfucian classics,Catalogue of chongyata-ng book,Fangzhishang and Catalogue of chongyatang lithoglyph,and so on.he academic achievement got the praise of the scholars of later generations.The second part inspects Ganpengyun'academic achievement.His achievem-ent embodies study of Confucian classics, Edition bibliography, Mesochoric and Epigaphy and so on.The origin of the Confucian classics discuss the histroy of Confucian classics; Catalogue of chongyatang book adopt merit other's and have characteristic style and contribution;Fangzhishang and Catalogue of ch-ongyatang gather plenty of lithoglyph documentation and have the value of hi-storical materials; Especially, Fangzhishang embodies thought and methods of local records have important reference.The third part analyzes Gan pengyun'academic thought.He pay tribute to the Song School of classical philosophy.He thought that knowledge of learning must utility value and learner should pay att-ention to current affairs. In addit-ion, he against parochial prejudiceand he agreed that utility was the aim of le-arning. This kind of thought is linked to temporal social context.At same time,his thought stand for viewpoint of a part of tempora scholars. In brief, Gan pengyun is a scholar who have importmant acad-emic contribution in traditional chinese culture field and he has a certain position in histo-ry. His academic track and academic thoughtalso has a certain representative.
