The Study On Zhubin's Academie Achievement And Learned Thought

Today the studies on the academic development of the Qing dynasty is a more important work for the scholars. Adopting the research method which combines philology with history of thought, this thesis carries out case study on Zhubin who is a famous scholar in Yangzhou during the Qing dynasty ,explores his lucubrations, inspects his learned achievements and his academic thoughts.This thesis includes three parts. The first part introduces Zhubin's experiences and his lucubrations. Zhubin was born in an intellectual family in Baoying which is one city of Yangzhou and had lived through three sequential empeorors who were Qianlong, Jiaqing and Daoguang. He was a witness to the prosperity and downfall of the Qian-Jia school of the textual research. When he was a child, he was taught by his grandfather and his father. In his nonage ,he liked to poetize very much. When he grown up, he had to bend himself to get through the examinations of becoming an official. In his fifties,he started to work at the learned research. His main lucubrations includes Jingzhuan Kaozheng, Liji Xunzuan, Baitian Fengya,and so on.The second part inspects Zhubin's academic achievement. His achievement embodies at Philology, including interpretation, collation, annotation and gathering. Now Liji Xunzuan is an important book in the history of studying Liji because Zhubin compiled and tried out those essential achievements by many scholars from the Song dynasty to the Qing dynasty. He also searched for and compiled the writings and poems wrote by former people who living in Baoying. Such works as Baitian Fengya he redacted redound to posterity study and inherit our traditional culture.The third part analyzes Zhubin's learned thought. He revered Zhuxi, respected Zhuxi's Songxue. He advocated intelligentsias would pay attention to the society and their nation, connect their studies with resolving the questions of the society. Zhubin's thought came of his family,his friends and the period when Qing dynasty was in a turning from prosperity to decadence. In his writings such as Liji Xunzuan and Youdaotang Ji he expressed this thought that could stand for some philology savants of that time.On the whole, Zhubin is an influential scholar whose experience, achievement and thought could stand for part of scholars in the middle period of the Qing dynasty. So I think Zhubin had a certain impact on later age, should also occupy a tiny space in the history of the thought of the Qing dynasty.
